This enamel tray is inspired by the Nomenclature of Colours, adapted from the chromatic samples created in 1886 by ornithologist Robert Ridgway to standardise the description of bird colours among naturalists. An almost scientific exercise in cataloguing the world, one shade at a time.

The result is a piece where the history of science meets the most mundane everyday life. Ideal for storing pens, stationery, or other small objects that deserve a more dignified place than the bottom of a drawer.

Handmade in India, each tray presents slight variations that reflect the manual enamelling process, making each piece unique.
