1. Are all Papelaria Moderna products made in Portugal?
No. Our own products are produced locally, in collaboration with Portuguese printers, printers, and bookbinders. We also select pieces from other suppliers who share our sensitivity to detail and durability, ensuring diverse collections that are consistent with the brand's identity. These are often produced elsewhere in the world.
2. What techniques do you use in your own products?
We work with a variety of techniques depending on the final product. From traditional techniques like letterpress (hand typography), blind embossing, metallic printing, handmade bookbinding, screen printing, and engraving to more contemporary ones like offset or digital printing. Each piece is designed to offer a unique tactile experience, enhancing the gesture of handwriting and the presence of paper.
3. Are the papers you use sustainable?
All the papers we use are FSC certified, which guarantees that they come from responsibly managed forests, respect biodiversity, the rights of workers and local communities, and are economically viable.
Most of our suppliers also use certified papers, but sometimes, although we strive to ensure full material traceability, in some specific cases it's not always possible to control all origins. Even so, we continually work to increase transparency and reinforce sustainable practices throughout the production chain.
Furthermore, whenever possible, we incorporate papers from end-of-stock or from graphic waste.
4. Can I order products that are no longer available?
Some products, especially those from our own collections, are limited editions. Once sold out, they may no longer be produced. We recommend subscribing to our newsletter or following us on Instagram to be the first to know about restocks or new collections.
5. How can I order?
All our orders can be placed directly on our website. Simply select the products, add them to your cart, and proceed to checkout. We accept all major secure payment methods.
6. What is the delivery time?
Delivery times depend on the product, location, and destination. Customized products may take a few extra days, but the average production time will be indicated next to the product. During the checkout process, we indicate the estimated delivery time for each order.
7. Can I return or exchange products?
Yes, we accept returns and exchanges within 15 days, as long as the products are in perfect condition and have not been used. Personalized or limited edition products are not eligible for return.
8. How should I care for my notebooks and special papers?
We recommend storing paper products away from direct sunlight and moisture.
9. Does Papelaria Moderna use ecological packaging?
Whenever possible, we reuse packaging that has already had another life (your order may therefore arrive in a different brand's box) and incorporate paper that is out of stock or from graphic design waste. Our goal is to reduce waste without compromising product presentation and protection.
10. Why stationery in an increasingly digital world?
Because we believe that writing by hand, sending a letter, or simply touching special paper is a gesture of presence and care. Our products are made to last, to be felt and appreciated, to be used to create lasting memories.
